MARC hosts the Smyrna Village 10K Road Race in November each year. The race is a flat and fast Peachtree Road Race qualifier, where runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are celebrated. It is a race for runners designed and supported by runners!

The race starts and finishes at the Smyrna Community Center, where runners can gather for coffee before the race. The race is an out and back on Atlanta Rd., turning around close to Cumberland Blvd. and returning to the Community Center.

Awards are given to the top male and female finishers, the top masters male and female finishers, and top finishers in each five year age group. Past results are available here from Elite Race Timing.

Beneficiaries of Smyrna Village 10K

We believe in supporting the communities in which our members run, live and work. A portion of the proceeds of the race benefit Smyrna community organizations. These organizations include the Smyrna Public Safety Foundation, the Smyrna Education Foundation, Inc. and Campbell High School Band.

The Public Safety Foundation mission is to encourage and strengthen the partnership between the Community and its Public Safety Personnel.

The Smyrna Education Foundation, Inc. promotes public elementary and secondary education within the City of Smyrna, Georgia.

Don’t miss this flat and fast 10K Peachtree Road Race qualifier!

The Metro Area Running Club (MARC) annually hosts the Smyrna Village 10K Road Race. This is a fun and exciting race promoting health and wellness in the beautiful community of Smyrna.

A portion of the race proceeds will benefit Smyrna community organizations, such as the Smyrna Public Safety Foundation and the Smyrna Education Foundation.

People of all ages and paces are welcome!

The race starts and finishes at the Smyrna Community Center. The Center will be open so participants can gather for coffee and have access to indoor bathrooms.

The course is an out and back on Atlanta Rd. You turn south from Smyrna Village onto Atlanta Rd. and turn around near the intersection of Atlanta Rd. and the East West Connector.

The course will be open 1 hour 40 minutes. That is 14 min 30 sec pace per mile.

Participants on the course after 9:40am will be directed to the sidewalk to finish their race. Finish line will stay open until 10:00am.

Strollers are allowed, but single file only and to the right. Strollers will start at the back of the race start.

Race parking will be available in a variety of locations in downtown Smyrna starting at 6:30 am.

Volunteers will be directing traffic into Smyrna Community Center parking lot and field off of Atlanta Rd. This parking lot can be accessed via Powder Springs St. SE.

Parking is also available at:

• First Methodist Church at the corner of King and Concord Rd
• First Baptist Church of Smyrna off of King Street
• Smyrna Public Library rear parking lot off Bank Street
• Smyrna Government Building rear parking lot off King Street

Awards will begin at 9:30am and made in the following categories:

• Top 3 Overall Male/ Female
• Masters Male/Female
• Top 3 Male and Female in each specified age groups

Drawings for great door will be given as well.

All participants registered online by Sunday, November 13 will be guaranteed a finisher t-shirt. A limited number of t-shirts will be available for late and race day registrants. Finisher shirts will be available for pickup on race day between 8:30-10:15am.
There will be two aid stations on the course. Food and water will also be provided at the finish line.
The race will be chip timed by Elite Race Timing. Results will be posted during the race and online immediately after.
Event will happen rain or shine.

In the event of extreme weather, such as lightening or other hazardous conditions, the race start may be delayed or cancelled to ensure runner safety. Please check our Smyrna Village 10K Facebook page the morning of the race.

The two southbound lanes of Atlanta Rd. from Smyrna Village to the East West Connector will be closed from 8:00 am to 9:40 am. We will have police officers directing traffic during that time to assist in getting in and out of adjacent neighborhoods.
